Left Hand Meditation I

I began this series after I started experiencing quite a bit of pain in my right hand and wrist. It started as an exercise to teach myself to sew with my left hand, but quickly became a meditation that allowed me to let go of my perfectionism and embrace uncertainty. I started this in March 2020, and it reflects my hopes, my fears and the solace I take in creativity during hard times. The embroidery is DMC pearl cotton in a deep violet-blue on white muslin, in an 8 inch wooden hoop.
